Honoring Grandma!
You may call her Patricia, Pattie, Pat or Mom, but we call her Grandma, Gma or GrannyScuba!  No matter what you call her, you know her love for Mary Bridge.  She not only made contributions to our fundraisers, but she also crocheted over 100 blankets for the NICU!

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital, Pat's favorite charity!

We would love for you to take a moment and share a memory of Pat, that makes you smile or laugh below- we are so thankful for the love and joy she shared with us all!

My favorite memory of Grandma started when she was trying to get in Dad’s truck.  Her legs were too short so she started kicking her leg up and saying “Hiya!” We were laughing so hard we were crying.  After that day, anytime she would get in any car with us, we would say “Hiya” and all start laughing- it took forever to get her in the car!! - Payton

My favorite memory of Grandma is always playing cards or some sort of game with her. There was never a dull moment and it seemed like everyone was always cracking up. We’d always have some sort of snack that she made or bought to compliment the good time. I’ll always remember the great times we had and I’ll love her with all my heart forever!  -Brendon

My favorite memory with Grandma is playing uno with her. We would play for hours and hours straight just the two of us! I’ll never forget those moments when we were just laughing and having fun together! I’ll love her forever! -Logan

My favorite memory with Grandma was when we took our girls trip to Magnolia. Our weekend was full of love, laughter, cupcakes and of course cards!  We started playing cards together before I could even read and every time we would see each other, it was game on!
Every time I play cards, I will think of
Grandma! - Samantha

I left my memories on the other comment section as I didn't see this one but I want to tell you what an honoring site you have built and the pictures are wonderful. I hope maybe you can transfer my comments to this site regarding Pattie.

OK, I'm going to try this again. One of my favorite memories of Pattie is when Gary and I met Danny and Pattie at the Grand Tetons and we played pinochle and ate fabulous chocolate chip cookies...the best I have ever tasted. Pattie gave me her recipe and I have made lots and lots of these cookies and always get a lot of complements.

The other favorites is when we met Linda and Pat and Danny and Pattie in Pendleton and went on the underground tour there. We had loads of fun together and loved going to the Casino to play the slots. Your family has always been my family, too and we miss her so much. Much love to all of you.

27 years of memories, it’s so hard to pick just one favorite of my precious Mother-in-love...but one that stands out is when she came to Maryland to stay with us for 3 weeks when Logan was born. She took care of Brendon, cooked, did laundry, ironed everything (her favorite, seriously!), and just did what she always did best...take care of her family. I learned so much about being a wife and a mother of boys from Pat, and I will strive to honor her always by living out her example of love and devotion to family. She is and always will be my 2nd Mom, one of my very best friends, and now a beautiful angel to watch over us all. Pat, I love you with all my heart and I’ll keep you there forever!
Love, Tania ❤️

My wife, Mary, and I have been blessed to know Pattie and Dan since our days in Vancouver, WA in the early 80's. In fact Pattie and Mary job shared at National Bank of Commerce in Vancouver. We really got together when we both found ourselves being transferred to the East Coast. The Allens in Harrisburg, PA and us in the Washington, DC area. We got together frequently to visit the area. One such visit was to Philadelphia to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Our kids, Amy and Jeff, and Dan and Pat's, Chad and Jason were roughly the same age and were about 11 and 13 at the time. We all rode over to Philadelphia from Harrisburg in the Allens minivan. We ended up parking in a parking lot close to Independence Hall. Pat had brought stuff for lunch thinking we coudl find a nice park for lunch. We noticied someone trying to break into a parking change facility close to us, so we ended up eating in the van with the door lock. Never daunted, Pat, made sandwiches and as one of the kids said, "It doesn't get any better than this." A great memory and captures in our mind the spirit of Pat. We are blessed to have known her and will miss her deeply. Love to the Allens family. Rob and Mary Vining

Bob and Sylvia first got to know Patti over the telephone discussing the building of our respective Tiffin Motor Homes (we purchased them from the same salesman at the same dealership). We had hoped to meet in Red Bay, AL or at RV World of Georgia Dealership but could not make connections. We finally met at StarLite RV Park in Okeechobee, FL during the winter of 2016. Our friendship was instantaneous. We got to know Patti and her husband Dan, very well over the many meals together, playing cards, and site seeking together during our month together in Okeechobee. Patti was alway a delight to be around. Our many memories together and friendship together will alway be special to us!

I met Pattie in a real estate transaction but she quickly became a friend. Always very warm and gracious. Classy lady. I will miss her.

I didn't see Pattie often but when I did the conversation always included updates on the latest adventures and accomplishments of their sons and grandkids. Reading the comments from her grandkids it was heartwarming to see how her love for them was so appreciated and that her sense of humor has been passed on as well :)

Sharing two beautiful granddaughters created a lot of memories. Most recently prom dress shopping, volleyball games and tortilla soup at Ernesto’s. But one of my favorite memories is when Payton was a baby in the hospital. Pat introduced me to “Seattle’s Best Coffee.” We drank a lot of coffee! One night while we were on the night shift and sleep deprived we got extremely tickled, at what I can’t remember and the nurse had to asked us to please try and be a little quieter. We shared a lot of laughs and a few tears over the years. I will miss my friend! MaryLee

two favorite memories of Patti (and Dan). They were always holding hands. Being a witness to this numerous times "Pat falling asleep on Dan's shoulder" while watching TV. Dan never woke her!!! What a man. Her "Favorite" sister. I love you and will always miss you. Her last words to me were "I love you". That is my special sister. See you soon sis!!!

Pat and I shared so many memories together over the years, but all of my favorites happened after I realized that Pat was not only my mother-in-law but she was also a dear friend. I cherish the memories of us giggling while playing cards, dice and scrabble, giggling while she was trying to teach me how to cook, giggling while we did everything!! I am thankful for our friendship and for the love and generosity she taught me, our girls and all those she met. So thankful to call her my mother-in-law and friend!

I still can't believe this lovely woman is not here with us..but just not in body, her spirit lives on in each of hearts

.I will always remember Pat's laugh, her kind and caring heart -and the way she loved her entire family. Her Danny, her boys, their spouses and grandchildren, sisters, brothers...and those of us that joined the Schmidt clan as time went on. She was the family matriarch after their momma passed so long ago. I remember my first Thanksgiving with the family. She was so gracious to me and and my little boy, Jason - and welcomed us into the family 37 year ago. So many memories since then, but her laugh...it was beautiful.

Much love and prayers for Danny, Chad and Jason and your families. Know you are being prayed for, dear ones. We will miss our Patty.

A number of memorable reflections of time spent with Pattie quickly come to mind: Denny first meeting Pattie in 1965 shortly after Danny was smitten and having the pleasure of double dating with them on numerous occasions; Danny & Pattie’s wedding; our 1978 weekend in Lincoln City with Danny & Pattie and Scott & Jayne which reminds Becky and me to this day of how special lifetime friendships truly are; a summer 1979 weekend in Sunriver when Becky, with Pattie’s familiarity in such matters, realized we were expecting our first child; Denny helping the Allen family move from Hood River to Vancouver in late summer 1983; the summer 1992 Atlanta to Disney World vacation which included packing two families plus luggage in a van for a six plus hour drive (each way); Denny’s May 1995 weekend in Atlanta for Chad & Keely’s wedding; and probably our most memorable, a fall 2002 trip with Danny & Pattie to Ireland. Pattie was at all times a gracious hostess, an enjoyable traveling companion and forever comfortable to be with. She truly loved family above all else. We offer our sincerest condolences to Danny, Chad & Keely, Jason & Tania, and the grandchildren.

I chose this day to write because it is Dan and Pat’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. I want to honor them both for the example they set of God’s perfect plan. Theirs truly was a marriage made in Heaven and now Pat has returned there where she is celebrating today with her Lord and all the other angels! She one day will greet her beloved Danny and what a reunion that will be! Dan, you are in all our hearts today as you feel Pat’s loving presence with you, but not her body. It must be so hard.
I have many sweet memories of Pat, but the biggest of all is how beautifully she loved my daughter,Tania! She even taught her everything I didn’t and that was a lot! She was the perfect 2nd Mother for Tania and I will forever be grateful to her for that!
Pat was an angel on earth and everyone who was ever in her presence felt her grace.
I will miss her so much...until we meet again.❤️
